It’s the weekend and I finally have time to talk about my exo concert experience!
MMT kept their word about going by ticket number which I, and everyone around me in line found absolutely ridiculous! Buying tickets online requires no dedication and therefore shouldn’t be rewarded by going in first! Yes, waiiting for ticket sales to open and buying the ticket requires some dedication, but not as much as waiting for hours outside! It’s much more difficult to get everyone in numerical order, and you could’ve totally lied about your number and nobody would’ve cared or found out. I found that very frustrating that my friend and I, who was waiting since 12 got skipped by someone who showed up 15 minutes before the concert. VERY FRUSTRATING.
Next, the workers of Verizon theatre and the volunteers didn’t seem to have communicated before hand. For example, many fans showed up with large-medium backpacks which they weren’t allowed and that was said the day of the concert. I believe (I’m not sure about this one) that they actually tweeted an official list of what was not allowed the day of the concert also. No, not early in the morning, but around noon. The only thing that was actually organized was the merch stand.
Getting inside and through security was hassle free. Security and workers were very organized!
At first we settled ourselves on the corner very close to the stage, but still not a great view. That experience was terrible! There was no way to move any closer and everyone was literally taller than me. It was hot and the special effects flames did not help! Whenever the boys came out, it became even more tighter. I felt the only way I could see was through the screen of other people and I got very frustrated because I did not pay 222 dollars to see the boys through a phone screen! That and I wasn’t feeling the vibe of the people in front of the stage. They were very concerned about seeing the boys, recording everything on their phone and just being in the front that they didn’t dance around or actually enjoy the music. I may be wrong about these assumptions, but up-close it didn’t feel like what a concert should feel like. The aura these girls and boys were giving off was not fun at all! I have a friend who stayed in the front and said it was the worst concert experience she’s ever had.
After finding my friend in the back, I decide to stay there. BEST DECISION I MADE THAT DAY. Having her jam and sing with me made me not regret spending my money. The view of the boys was definetly not my dream view, but I could see their faces and their dances and basically all of them! The was room to dance around and jump. It felt much more like a concert in the back. I could still feel their energy and their love from that distance. I’m still not okay that they didn’t wave at me, but I enjoyed and soaked in the music they were giving me.
OVERALL, EXO satisfied me tremendously! The support from other fans around me was incredible and they didn’t disappoint me either. The concert was an amazing experience.
HOWEVER, how everything was planned before the concert was terrible.
I’m very glad Dallas was EXO’s first city because the first is the most memorable no matter what!
